Delegationen fungerar inte snabbt med undervy

Redigera: någon föreslog att detta var en kopia av en annan fråga. Det är inte jag har implementerat:
- (NSInteger) tableView: (UITableView *) tableView numberOfRowsInSection: (NSInteger) avsnitt // (snabbt förstås).
I en ViewController skapar jag programmatiskt en tableView och lägger till den som en undervy. Jag har en klass med namnet DataSource som antar UITableViewDelegate och UITableViewDataSource via två tillägg.
Jag följer ett exempel som ges här
Jag får ett fel:

0x7f88cc406ac0 är adressen till den innehållande ViewController.
Även om jag låter den innehållande ViewController anta UITableViewDelegate via en förlängning och då kallas DataSource-implementeringen av tableView: numberOfRowsInSection ser jag fortfarande felet.
